Day of Service -- Beta Carwash/Bake Sale

Beta Club will be hosting a carwash/bake sale at Greenacres Middle School on Saturday, October 21, 2017 to raise money for a choice charity.  

 

Pre-sale car wash tickets will go on sale that week Monday through Friday for $5 each.

 

Please sign-up to work the carwash or bring an item for the bakesale by Mrs. Clark's door.  We must have minimum of 10 people for the carwash and a minimum of 20 people to bring individually portioned items for the bake sale.

Beta District Day

MONEY AND FORMS DUE OCTOBER 19TH - WEDNESDAY WE GET BACK FROM BREAK

 

If you are interested in competing with the BETA Club at District Day, Saturday, November 11th. 

 

Please send Mrs. Clark an email with topic of Beta and bring your $11 to register.  $1 goes to the BETA club scholarship fund for which you can apply in high school.  

 

Team Entries (1 team per school)

Advertising (2-4 people) (made on the spot) 

Book Battle (team of 3 people ) (MC test and Written response to a book)

Quiz bowl (50 MC questions) (team of 4 - science, social studies, math & ELA work together to complete the test)

Robotics Competition (4-8 people on the team) 

Speech (write and perform a speech on BETA MINDS THINK ALIKE)

Tower of Power (build a tower from a given number of straws and one roll of masking tape)

Banner  (premade)

Living Literature (living bookscene - manequin/statue)

Songfest (50% of club at District Day must compete) (write and perform a song based on them) (all stage members must sing)

Spotlight Your Club (science fair board with pictures of our clubs projects and activities)

Group Talent or Special Talent  Group talent is 5 or more - special talent is 4 or fewer)

T-shirt (design and commercially product a shirt on the theme)
